Step 6

No swim aids for testing

  1. Hold side and blow bubbles for 5 seconds breathe to side and repeat without hesitation 3 times
  2. Using a recognised stroke, swim 20 metres
  3. Swim 15 metres on back using good technique
  4. Turn from front (with face in water) to back and back to front in horizontal position
  5. Jump into deep water without assistance
  6. Swim 15 metres front crawl using good technique
  7. Achieve 10 metres kick with float including correct breathing to the side.
  8. Swim 15 metre using good breast stroke technique
  9. Swim with confidence in water deeper than standing depth
  10. Achieve a mushroom float with face submerged for 10 seconds
